Process modelling and support for digital transformation

Contact us
Process work in organizations has long been “paper-flavored,” and has not produced clear sets of objectives. Since this issue involves transparent job management, a cultural change is often required.
Often, process work has been managed in a tool-based manner and the implementation of described processes has then often been left incomplete, with only a large amount of documents to show for the effort.

By introducing of high-quality process models, it is possible to create a competitive advantage by (for example) automating routines and allocating human labor towards the desired areas.

Continuous development of processes, and utilization of good practices, is required in order for companies to succeed in an increasingly competitive environment. Integration of the modeling of data needs with process work creates a basis for management of processes with data.

modelling of processes

About the model

A well-functioning process makes it possible to measure the effects of implementing a given operation.

Content of the process model:

  • Duties of the operating parties, and rules of the process
  • The process’ data needs.
  • Roles and preliminary resourcing plan of the process.
  • Plan for process implementation / carrying out modifications.

Key outputs

The process explains the logic and rules of the operation, as well as the content of the tasks in the process.

Listing and delineating the processes to be modeled, setting objectives for the work, and understanding what the current status is

  • Assignment for the work, shared understanding of the current status, agreement on the aid tools to be used in the description

Description of process models and data model (processes’ data needs)

  • Target models for processes, on the basis of how the processes have been delineated, and taking of client feedback into account (1-2 iterations)

Documentation, and planning of implementation, of process models and data model

  • Final report of the service, including the process descriptions produced, a proposal (in the form of a roadmap) for the implementation of processes, and a proposed model for the continuous development of processes
